According to businesspundit, the human carrying robot RI-MAN is the first robot have been designed to do this kind of tasks. IR-MAN do many things such as:
- lifting up you and putting you in front of TV,
- serving you mushy foods,
- assisting you when you suffer from hard attack (it can see, hear, and smell)
But is IR-MAN smart enough to drop us exactly in those comfy sofas to see our favorite movies, or it just can do the minimum requirements?

BEAR is another human carrying robot which is designed to rescue humans in battlefields. BEAR stands for both Battlefield Exaction Assist Robot and the bear-style of the robot. It is important to have a kind robot like BEAR to get medical attention to injured people when it is dangerous for human rescue team to go there. BEAR can
- scoop up heavy objects and persons
- move in long distances
- move in rough terrains
- be seen as a friendly bear

BBC NEWS reports it’s expected to text BEAR in practice in 2012. Some specifications are
- 6 feet tall
- gyroscope sensors to keeps its balance
- computer control motors
- remotely commanding
- camera and mic. embedded
- narrow shape (to squeeze through doorways)
- hydraulic arms can lift up a load of 135 kg
- hydraulic upper body can carry up a load of 227 kg
I’m not sure how you will feel when a lift-truck fork slides under you but we hope see a more sophisticated design fitted with maneuverable hands to gently scoop up us.

It’s a fact, robots will be more and more complicated and one day human can make such a kind of robots that behave just like a man.
Maybe they can be alive forever, when all people have died!!!

That is true. I believe the future humanoid robots will be created by bio-engineering scientists not mechanical or electrical engineers. We are very close. As a sign, there is a debate nowadays whether companies, universities or researches can patent the manipulated DNA’s? I think this is a very important situation because the companies are close to make huge profits of it.
